A polyamide film manufacturer will invest one billion roubles in a plant in the Sverdlovsk Region
A unique plant for the production of polyamide films will be built on the territory of the Koltsovsky Logistics Park near Ekaterinburg. The plant will be built by the Federal Polyamide Company (FPC), a subsidiary of Ural Plastics OJSC.

‘Governor Evgeny Kuivashev's policy is aimed at sustainable economic development, growth of the industrial sector and creation of favourable conditions for investment attraction. The investor plans to invest 1 billion roubles in the construction. The production facility will create 30 jobs. The project is supported by the Sverdlovsk Regional Investment Promotion Agency. The plant is scheduled to be put into operation by the end of 2026,’ said Vadim Tretyakov, Minister of Investment and Development of the Sverdlovsk Region.

We would like to remind you that polyamide is a strong polymer that can withstand shocks and retain its properties at high temperatures. fpk is the only producer of polyamide monofilaments in russia, which has been in continuous operation since 1972. At that time, it produced rocket fuel tanks for spacecraft.

Today it is the only such enterprise in Russia. There are only five such lines in the world. fpk produces food and technical films. The former are used for packaging. The latter is used in aircraft and shipbuilding, aerospace industry, medicine, for example, in the production of veneers. It is also used for packaging of toxic and radioactive substances, including the disposal of radioactive waste.

The company currently produces 15 types of film. In addition, the company is constantly developing new products to replace foreign ones. The plant fully recycles waste from its own production.

Over the past two years, FPC's monthly production volume has increased from 20 to 200 tonnes. Current production is three months ahead of schedule. The new plant will increase production capacity by at least six times.
