Mikhail Vasilyev appointed Deputy Minister of Economy, Investment, and Territorial Development of the Sverdlovsk Region

By decree of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Denis Pasler, Mikhail Sergeyevich Vasilyev has been appointed Deputy Minister of Economy, Investment, and Territorial Development of the Sverdlovsk Region effective May 22, 2026.

In the ministry, he will oversee the congress and exhibition events division.

Mikhail Vasilyev graduated with honors fr om the Faculty of State and Municipal Administration of the Ural branch of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. From 2007 to 2015, he held managerial positions in market research, trading, and engineering companies. From 2016 to 2019, he was involved in the development of a private industrial park in the Sverdlovsk Region.

From 2019 to 2023, he worked at the Investment Promotion Agency of the Sverdlovsk Region as Deputy Director and later as General Director. He facilitated the Sverdlovsk Region's participation in many major congress and exhibition projects, including INNOPROM, the High-Tech Skills Championship "Haitek," and the International Forum and Exhibition 100+ TechnoBuild.

Since 2024, he has served as Deputy General Director of JSC "UVC," wh ere he oversaw work with event organizers.
