New Import-Substituting Chemical Production Facility Launched in Nizhny Tagil

The investment project is included in the import substitution action plan for the chemical industry of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The total investment amounted to 4 billion rubles.
"The Uralchimplast enterprise will annually produce 26 thousand tons of foundry binders and 9 thousand tons of novolac resins, which will replace imported products for key industries — automotive, machine tool manufacturing, construction, and others. Overall, the plant's capacity will increase by 25%, which will expand the sales market. The new workshop is equipped with modern purification systems. The ecological well-being of the city's residents is a shared concern of ours and the enterprises of Nizhny Tagil," Denis Pasler wrote on his social media accounts.
The investment project was supported by the Sverdlovsk Region Investment Promotion Agency. The Agency's specialists assisted the enterprise in obtaining government support measures: a concessional loan from the Monotowns Development Fund (VEB.RF Group), as well as from the Industrial Development Fund.
The new production facility is located on the territory of the Tagil Chemical Park. Incidentally, the project for the reconstruction of the first vehicle and railway tank car washing facility for chemical transportation in the Sverdlovsk Region was also supported by the Investment Promotion Agency.
