Sverdlovsk Region Recognized as One of the Leaders in Industrial Tourism Development in Russia

"A region with a unique industrial identity, a backbone territory, and the venue of the largest industrial exhibition INNOPROM must always live up to expectations — showcasing both scale and technology, as well as a vision for the future. That is why industrial tourism is highly important for the Sverdlovsk Region — it serves as a means of promoting our industry brand, career guidance, and a tool for working with investors and demonstrating the region's investment potential," said Dmitry Ionin, Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region.
At the plenary session "From Industrial Tourism to Shaping the Image of Russian Industry — Experience, Successes, New Development Vectors," two case studies from the Sverdlovsk Region were presented. The first was a project by the Sverdlovsk Region Investment Promotion Agency and the Department for Tourism and Hospitality Industry Development titled "The Ural Forge: from the First Factories to Investment Opportunities." The second was the experience of the Pipe Metallurgical Company, "TMK Industrial Tourism: Beyond the Ordinary."
In addition, the forum presented the results of the annual assessment of industrial tourism development in Russia for 2025, conducted by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) and the R&C Exhibition and Research Center. The Sverdlovsk Region once again ranked among the leading regions as a center for showcasing industrial potential and business activity.
It is worth noting that the event was attended by teams from more than 40 Russian regions, company representatives, as well as delegations from the People's Republic of China, the Republic of Belarus, and the Republic of Uzbekistan. Enhancing the region's investment attractiveness, including through the development of industrial tourism, aligns with the objectives of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy."
