Creation of high-performance and automated agricultural farms. Stage 1: fish farming

Project specifics: the creation of farms is planned with the further development of a network of franchisees and cooperation, under a single brand, with a unified product range and a single center of competence and technology, as well as with a centralized sales system in one or several regions of the Russian Federation.

As part of the project, it is proposed to consider Stage 1: the creation of a fish farm for growing trout with a capacity of 480,000 kg.

Fish farming is a branch of industry, the activities of enterprises of which are aimed at breeding, processing and selling fish, improving the quality of fish and increasing its quantity in all ponds. Fish farming is classified according to the location where it is conducted, and therefore is divided into fish farming in natural water bodies and fish farming in ponds.

Fish is an efficient farm animal. This means that it takes less feed to produce a kilogram of fish meat than when breeding pigs, cows and rabbits. For example, to obtain 1 kg of fish weight, on average, about 1 kg of feed is needed: fry and young fish – 0.6-0.7 kg of feed, adults – a little more than 1 kg. For comparison, cattle need 20 kg of feed to gain 1 kg of live weight.
The trout farm will be constructed in two stages.

From the second quarter of 2026 to the fourth quarter of 2026, the construction of 6 buildings for a trout workshop (with an area of 936 sq. m. each), a finished product warehouse with an area of 500 sq. m, a processing workshop with an area of 1,200 sq. m, an operator's room with an area of 120 sq. m, a boiler room, and 4 storage ponds will be carried out.

From the fourth quarter of 2026 to the first quarter of 2027, equipment for breeding trout species will be purchased and installed, and fry will be purchased. 

The second stage of construction of buildings for breeding trout species will be carried out from the second quarter of 2027 to the fourth quarter of 2027. The purchase and installation of equipment is planned to be carried out in the period from the fourth quarter of 2027 to the first quarter of 2028.

The key sales market will be the region of presence, as well as neighboring regions of the Russian Federation.

The main consumers of the products will be regional and federal retail chains and HoReCa.

In the future, it is planned to involve more regions as product sales markets, develop own sales network through food trucks and delivery services, as well as develop export directions for selling products to countries of the Near and Far Abroad.

A business plan for the project has been prepared and a financial model has been calculated.
