Development of the first phase of the Sobstvenno-Kachkanarskoye deposit

As a result of the project implementation, the level of ore extraction from the deposit was ensured to be up to 13 million tons annually, which ensures the stable operation of the Kachkanarsky Ore Mining and Processing Plant as a city-forming enterprise of the Kachkanarsky urban district and the Nizhny Tagil Metallurgical Plant as the largest enterprise in Nizhny Tagil, without reducing the volume of ore extraction at the level of 59-60 million tons and the output of finished products.

The project resulted in the construction of a number of transport and energy infrastructure facilities, and the necessary equipment was purchased.

27 additional high-performance jobs were created, a total of 135 new employees were hired.

Mining is carried out using an open-pit method. Loading of rock mass is carried out by open-pit excavators. Transportation of ore to the transfer point, as well as overburden rocks to ex-pit dumps, is carried out by haulage trucks. From the ore loading point, the ore is delivered to the existing crushing-and-preparation plant by rail.

The government of the Sverdlovsk region has recognized the investment project for the development of the Sobstvenno-Kachkanarskoye deposit as having strategic importance for the socio-economic development of the Sverdlovsk region. The project has also been granted the status of a Priority Investment Project of the Sverdlovsk region for new construction. An agreement on the protection and promotion of investments has been concluded in relation to the project.
