Production of cordierite ceramic substrates for automotive catalytic converter systems
In order to implement the project the work on studying the problems related to the production of ceramic cordierite substrates for automotive catalytic converter systems, researching the composition and properties of imported substrates, forming the basis for the technology of preparation of material from domestic raw materials, as well as obtaining a prototype with characteristics close to those declared by the main consumers was carried out. The project realization provides three main stages:
Stage 1. Conducting pilot works, which will allow to work out the technologies allowing to produce substrates, which are not inferior in their characteristics to foreign analogs, but significantly lower in cost. This stage involves obtaining prototypes of ceramic substrates that meet the EurAsEC toxicity standards.
Stage 2. Preparation and organization of the main industrial production. Selection and purchase of industrial equipment.
Stage 3. Bringing the production to a higher level in terms of sales volumes, increasing the range of sizes of ceramic substrate blocks. Development of a full package of regulatory documentation and certification of products for application in the domestic and foreign market of catalytic neutralizers.
