A high-tech company of the Sverdlovsk region has ensured the accuracy of electricity metering between the energy systems of Tajikistan and Afghanistan

AY-TOR, the Regional Champion of the Sverdlovsk region, in the conditions of high mountains and difficult terrain, provided accurate electricity metering at cross-border crossings using autonomous commercial metering stations of 110 and 35 kV i-TOR series, developed by Ural engineers.

In November 2021, a historic event took place in the foothills of the Tien Shan for the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Badakhshan Region of the Republic of Afghanistan and the central energy system of the Republic of Tajikistan. Previously, the autonomous energy system of Gorno-Badakhshan, developed by OJSC "Pamir Energy Company", is connected by new power lines of 110 and 35 kV to the central energy system of the Republic of Tajikistan. At the same time, a significant part of it passed through the territory of the Republic of Afghanistan and along the Pyanj River. The new line made it possible to supply, even before the onset of cold weather, the previously non-electrified villages and mountain villages with the necessary electricity there.

Accurate electricity metering at cross-border crossings was organized by the high-tech company AI-TOR using autonomous commercial metering points 110 and 35 kV of the i-TOR series, developed by Ural engineers.

To date, the project has been successfully implemented, becoming significant for the two countries, which in turn opens up significant prospects for further large-scale implementation of Russian innovative solutions in the energy systems of Central Asia and the CIS countries.
