Involvement of Sverdlovsk municipalities in business events tripled over the year

“All existing support measures for business - including non-financial and educational ones - should be available to residents throughout the Sverdlovsk Region. This is the task set by Governor Evgeny Kuivashev. We see that forums for entrepreneurs are in great demand in small towns, so we have planned to work with them in 2025. Among the nearest major events, the Creative Industries Forum and the Forum for Beginning Entrepreneurs are scheduled for the end of April, and Finmarket, a large-scale financial forum, is scheduled for mid-May,” said Vadim Tretyakov, Minister of Investment and Development of the Sverdlovsk Region.

In 2024, business events were held not only in the major cities of the region. For example, the forum “Youth of Rezh - Energy of the City” was held in Rezh, the business forum “Easy Start - Successful Business” was held in Krasnoturyinsk, and the festival “I am an Entrepreneur” was held in Reftinsky. 

A total of 564 business events were held in the region in 2024. This is twice as much as in 2022. Also, the number of large-scale events with the number of participants from 5,000 to 27 has increased five times in two years.

The main formats of events in 2024 - conferences, festivals, championships, forums - themes: culture, business, sports and education.

Based on the analysis of industry data, the experts of the Urals Congress Bureau have identified the key trends that will determine the development of the business events industry in 2025. The main growth drivers will be the development of domestic tourism, strengthening of administrative support, improvement of infrastructure and adaptation to new geopolitical realities.
