New Property Support Measure for Entrepreneurs in Sverdlovsk Region

By investing in the major renovation of a property, a tenant can be fully exempt from rent payments for up to 5 years.

"We are systematically improving business support measures based on the requests of entrepreneurs themselves and current circumstances. This new tool is being introduced precisely in response to appeals from entrepreneurs. This incentive will increase the interest of potential tenants in the state property of Sverdlovsk Region and will help attract private investment in the major renovation of facilities, enabling more efficient utilization of properties in economic circulation. The funds, equivalent to the amount specified in the decision to exempt the tenant from rent due to major renovation work, can be directed by entrepreneurs toward further production development or business expansion," said Denis Pasler, Governor of Sverdlovsk Region.

"To date, a wide range of property support measures is available to entrepreneurs in Sverdlovsk Region. They can qualify for a 30% reduction in the rental rate for state property, as well as a reduction of up to 90% in rent for those engaged in socially significant and priority activities. Additionally, rental of regional property at reduced rates is available without tendering and without the consent of the federal antimonopoly authority," said Alexei Kuznetsov, Deputy Governor of Sverdlovsk Region and Minister of State Property Management of Sverdlovsk Region.
