Ural Manufacturer to Increase Output of Unique Cranial Surgery Implants More Than Sevenfold

"Despite external sanctions, Ural companies continue to develop and increase the output of their important and often unique-for-Russia products. Thanks to talented engineers and government support provided to manufacturers, our industrial sector is successfully fulfilling the task of achieving technological leadership set by Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin," noted Sverdlovsk Region Governor Denis Pasler.
With the new equipment, the enterprise will produce implants for cranial surgery — cranial fixators used to secure bone fragments and close trepanation openings. Medin-Ural was the first company in Russia to develop and launch serial production of such products, as well as the tools for their installation. The new equipment will allow the output to increase more than sevenfold — from 2,000 to 15,000 units per year.
The Ural-based company has been producing instruments for microsurgery, ophthalmology, and neurosurgery for over 30 years. The enterprise's products are well known in the Russian and international medical instrument markets due to their high quality, the use of specialized materials, and modern machining technologies.
As a reminder, in 2024, Medin-Ural launched Russia's first serial production of cranial surgery fixators and pediatric spinal surgery kits in the Sverdlovsk Region. Government support within the framework of the national project "Efficient and Competitive Economy" has enabled the enterprise to strengthen its market position and increase the output of in-demand medical products.
