Consumers of the Sverdlovsk region (both in the corporate and in the mass sector) are ready to implement digital solutions.

In 2019, the share of companies investing in business process automation and the use of digital technologies was 27%.

Digital technologies, in which investments were made for the automation and digitalization of business processes: electronic digital signature, automated CAD systems, CRM, EPR and others, cloud technologies and services, and others.

The priority areas are those that will allow to obtain scientific and scientific and technical results and create technologies that are the basis for the innovative development of the domestic market for products and services, the sustainable position of the Sverdlovsk region in the foreign market, and will ensure the development of NTI: the transition to advanced digital, intelligent production technologies, robotic systems, new materials and design methods, the creation of systems for processing large amounts of data, machine learning and artificial intelligence (NeuroNet).

There are educational and scientific institutions developing technologies in the field of automation and digitalization in the region: FGBUN Scientific and Engineering Center "Reliability and Resource of Large Systems and Machines" Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics. N.N. Krasovsky, Ural Federal University named after the first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin.

The Sverdlovsk Region is planning to build an IT cluster "Kontur-Park on Shirokaya Rechka". The area of ​​16.8 hectares will house offices for IT companies, an educational center, an open park and an international climbing wall.
