The Sverdlovsk Region is in the lead among regions in terms of event potential

"Congress and exhibition activities are one of the main tools for promoting the Sverdlovsk Region and the products of Sverdlovsk enterprises. Thanks to the efforts of Governor Evgeny Kuivashev and the support of the federal center, our region has become one of the event capitals of Russia. The annual agenda consists of more than 100 exhibition and 500 congress events. These global events contribute to the formation of strong business ties and stimulate the development of related industries. For every ruble of investment, the region's economy receives an effect of about six rubles," said Dmitry Ionin, Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region.

In 2023, 46 thousand people from 35 countries visited the International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM and the Seventh Russian-Chinese EXPO in Ekaterinburg over four days. This corresponds to the pre-industrial indicator of the event.

Such major events as the International Forum and Exhibition 100+ TechnoBuild, the International Championship of High-Tech Professions Hitech, the All-Russian Forum of Strategic Development "Cities of Russia", the forum "Big Open Dialogue", the forum-exhibition "SOCIO", the exhibition-forum "Health Care of the Urals" have received permanent residence in the region.

The region is also attracting new events. Thus, at the end of 2023, a large-scale event on another key competence of the region will be launched - the First IT-Congress and exhibition "Future Forum", which is intended to become a "digital" INNOPROM.

Offsite events also make it possible to promote the region's potential in the near abroad, EAEU, SCO and BRICS countries, as well as on the margins of a unique Russian project - the International Exhibition and Forum "Russia".
