More eco-factories for production of the outdoor furniture made of recycled plastic will appear in the Sverdlovsk region
In the next two years, a network comprising three eco-factories based on the «Smart Environment» franchise for production of outdoor furniture and small architectural forms is going to be built in the Sverdlovsk region. Agreement on the investment project for the amount of RUB 18 mln was signed by the Investment Promotion Agency and the «G-Eco» company.
Modern technology where sand is used makes it possible to recycle plastic bags, stretchable films and hard plastic items and obtain building materials and outdoor furniture.
«So, for instance, five thousand plastic bags may turn into a wear-resistant bench, and 11 kilograms of plastic waste – into a park trash can»- said Mikhail Kichigin, managing partner of the company «Smart Environment» in Ekaterinburg.
The enterprise plans to purchase raw materials from the companies that process solid household waste; they also organize environmental campaigns during which the plastic items are collected, and this activity is consistent with the objectives of the national project «Ecology».
«The capacity of one production line of the factory makes it possible to process more than 50 tons of plastic materials a year and produce 1.2 thousand items. Implementation of the project will create 15 jobs. The Investment Promotion Agency of the Sverdlovsk region helps in selection of sites for localization of production»- said Mikhail Vasilyev, Director General of the Investment Promotion Agency.
