The program for the development of tourism and the hospitality industry of the Sverdlovsk region was approved until 2027

Members of the government of the Sverdlovsk region on October 20 approved the state program "Development of tourism and hospitality industry of the Sverdlovsk region until 2027". The total amount of funding for events from 2022 to 2027 is estimated at 791 million rubles.

According to Yuri Patanin, Deputy Director of the Department for the Development of Tourism and the Hospitality Industry of the region, the funds will be directed from the regional and local budgets.

“The main emphasis in the state program is on the development of infrastructure for organizing the leisure time of the Urals, on improving the quality of services and developing the industry to attract tourists. In particular, subsidizing of non-profit organizations is provided, which also increase the attractiveness for domestic and visiting tourists,” said Yuri Patanin.

It should be noted that the Sverdlovsk region also attracts funds from other sources for the development of tourism. As reported, in 2023 the region will receive 585 million rubles from the federal budget. Grant support will go towards the development of 70 entrepreneurial initiatives, the Night of Music festival, and the design of Yekaterinburg's tourist code.

Recall that within the framework of the national project "Tourism and hospitality industry", the Sverdlovsk region is a link in the "Great Ural" macro-region.
